This blog began as a journey of self-discovery for me, as I am sure many blogs do, after moving with my husband halfway across the country, away from friends, family, and a familiar life. I spent most of my life on the east coast just outside Washington D.C., and that East Coast prep mentality has been hard to shake since moving to Colorado. What I have embraced is the lifestyle of Rocky Mountain Casual. The past five years have taught me so much about myself, what I am capable of, and the challenges I can overcome. I am thrilled to be able to share this journey with you.
Ultimately this blog is designed to help me explore the wonderful world of Colorado, from food to the outdoors, my running pursuits and overcoming fears. I am a wife, puppy mom, friend, foodie, an ever evolving runner and athlete, traveler, cook (particularly when it comes to baking, which at altitude is a whole other ballgame), writer and reader, and above all, constantly changing.
